The founder of this ministry is Michael Shank. He attends Hope Chapel in Apex, N.C. Michael is 48 years old and has had a personal, life-transforming relationship with Jesus for over 18 years. He has experienced the overwhelming grace and mercy Jesus pours out over a broken life. Mike is a gifted evangelist and administrator. He has a tremendous passion for outreach ministry and longs to minister to the lost and those in need of revival in their lives. He is unashamed to be transparent, boasting in his weaknesses, that Christ may be glorified and magnified. Mike believes in the full transforming and miraculous power of the present-day Holy Spirit. He intensely desires the flow of the Holy Spirit. When ministering the word, he wants his message to be as Paul’s, “not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom but on God’s power”.
Education includes a Bachelors Degree in Biology from East Carolina University. A Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy and a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida. He has been a licensed physical therapist for 16 years and currently administrates an outpatient clinic.
Mike is an ex-felon, convicted of trafficking cocaine on his 22nd birthday. He served over three years in prison. He has been heavily involved in prison ministry for over fifteen years. He has spoken and testified routinely in over 20 prisons, detention, and youth developement centers. He is currently in fellowship and conducts bible studies at a local prison. Mike also has a passion to speak in churches, sharing the transforming power of Jesus Christ with adults and youth. Ministry experience also includes speaking in middle schools and high schools, Point Man and Ambassador for Promise Keepers, co-laborer with Grateful Life Prison Ministry, Prison Fellowship Ministry, Champions for Life Prison Ministry, Yokefellows, leading church men’s groups and home groups, and short term missions.
Mike received an official Pardon of Forgiveness from Governor Hunt of N.C. in March of 2001.
Pardoned by Christ July of 1990!!!!
